What does your work look like?

As a Tax Advisor, you will work on challenging client projects, producing accurate analyses and delivering impactful tax advice. You will play a key role in guiding clients through tax regulations and requirements while leveraging your entrepreneurial mindset to drive business development in our Suriname office.  

What are the role’s main responsibilities, what will it involve? 

  • Perform strategic client advisory work that optimizes outcomes for clients and minimizes risks. 
  • Prepare income tax returns or VAT returns where specific tax expertise is required.
  • Arrange registrations with the Suriname Authorities.
  • Identify new opportunities to add value to clients, leveraging your commercial and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Working with team members, sharing knowledge, and refining approaches to deliver impactful results.
  • Proactively engage in professional growth activities, seeking feedback and taking steps to advance.

As a Tax Advisor, you recognize yourself in the following profile: 

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, Law or Economics or related field.
  • At least 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in a tax advisory setting, ideally in a client-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with the Suriname tax legislation and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Strong written and verbal skills in Dutch and English, with a particular strength in clear, precise writing.
  • A self-motivated, entrepreneurial approach with a dedication to teamwork and collaboration.
